Role Summary
The Commercial Training Manager plays a pivotal role in building and delivering education programs for internal and external stakeholders. You’ll lead training initiatives that drive procedural growth, support new technology adoption, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This includes onboarding, development, and continuing education for Clinical Applications Specialists (CAS), as well as training for surgeons, PAs, and commercial team members. You’ll be a field-forward leader—partnering with clinical teams, gathering insights, and building clinical champions who advocate for Perimeter’s technology.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Execution
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to cover clinical and sales aspects of the business for CASs, Market Development Managers, KOLs, and healthcare providers.
- Lead new hire onboarding and continuing education for commercial clinical and sales teams.
- Develop and implement training sessions using diverse methodologies (e-learning, group training, self-guided modules).
- Ensure training programs align with strategic goals and regulatory standards.
Field Engagement & Clinical Champion Development
- Conduct product demonstrations and training for physicians, hospital staff, and internal teams.
- Expand usage by educating and training new surgeons and procedural teams.
- Support live cases, MedEd events, and peer-to-peer education to drive adoption.
- Contribute to successful surgeon transitions to “close-won” status post-training.
Content Creation & Program Improvement
- Collaborate with internal and external clinical experts to create and continuously improve training materials, including presentations, videos, simulations, and digital modules.
- Provide clinical teams with updated product information and training resources.
- Implement tools and procedures to document training outcomes and competencies.
- Assess effectiveness of training content and methods, and iterate based on feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Feedback Integration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Clinical Affairs to execute internal and external training programs.
- Share field insights to inform product development, messaging, and training evolution.
- Support Evaluation OKR management and post-evaluation summaries.
Relationship Building & Communication
- Build strong relationships with hospital personnel across departments—clinical and non-clinical.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in all interactions.
- Represent Perimeter with professionalism, empathy, and clinical credibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (medical or technical specialization preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in clinical applications, education, intra-operative imaging, or breast health technologies
- Proven experience training physicians, hospital staff, and internal teams on complex medical technologies
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to interpret and teach medical imaging
- Experience developing clinical training materials and programs
- Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, DICOM viewers, and other digital tools
- Excellent communication skills—professional, courteous, and clear
- High initiative and self-motivation; able to work independently and drive projects forward
