The Opportunity

Ready to make a real impact? As our Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful deployment of PPO’s cutting-edge solutions, transforming our customer environments for the better. You’ll be empowered to use our best-in-class methodologies, systems, and tools to manage full-cycle implementations, orchestrating communication and collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders - from internal teams to 3rd party partners and, most importantly, our customers. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, dedicated to budget and timeline excellence, and energized by continuous improvement. You'll also spearhead high-priority internal initiatives that elevate our company culture and processes.

What You’ll Do

Project Planning & Vision
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define a clear project vision, goals, and deliverables that drive our business forward.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and communication strategies that ensure everyone is aligned and informed.
Resource Management & Stewardship
  • Strategically estimate the resources and talent required for successful project completion.
  • Draft and manage budget proposals with a keen eye for efficiency, recommending strategic adjustments as needed.
Execution, Leadership, and Monitoring
  • Lead and orchestrate project development from the starting line to a triumphant finish.
  • Empower and delegate tasks to the right personnel and talented teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges and conflicts, turning obstacles into opportunities for team growth.
  • Provide transparent and engaging progress reports and analysis to all stakeholders.
  • Implement decisive project changes and interventions to guarantee outstanding final outputs.
Quality & Impact Assurance
  • Champion on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery for every project.
  • Conduct thorough post-project evaluations to celebrate successes and incorporate lessons learned for future wins.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Cultivate strong relationships and manage dynamic communications across all team members and external stakeholders.
  • Lead regular, productive project meetings and be accountable for consistent tracking and analysis.
Proactive Risk Management
  • Anticipate and manage changes in project scope, identify potential challenges, and skillfully devise proactive contingency plans.
Location & Flexibility
  • Your preferred home base will be the PPO head office in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field or equivalent demonstrated work experience that proves your capability to succeed.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a fantastic bonus, showing your commitment to the craft.
  • 3+ years of experience in successfully project managing complex technical solution deliveries. Experience within food processing production facilities is a unique and valuable asset.
  • You possess a strong command of project management software, methodologies, and modern best practices.
  • You have a solid technical aptitude and are comfortable with Hardware, Software, IT networking, and systems integrations.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a passion for creative problem-solving.
  • Exceptional leadership, a customer-first approach, and fantastic interpersonal skills that build bridges.
  • Your verbal and written communication is crystal clear and engaging.
  • You are a highly motivated, independent self-starter who thrives on ownership.
  • You have the legal standing to travel internationally (USA, Canada, and the EU).
