Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Data Governance Generalist to support our enterprise data governance programs. You will work with Business Capability Teams (BCTs), platform administrators, and data users to ensure data is well-managed, accessible, and trusted across the organization. You will have experience with data, and the ability to work with business and technical teams.
You will report to our Sr Director Strategy Architecture.
Main Responsibilities
- Access Management:
- Help create and maintain IdentityIQ roles and Active Directory groups.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure appropriate access controls are in place.
- Aid in annual SOX audits to ensure SOX controls and reviews are completed for applicable roles.
- Metadata Management:
- Review and validate metadata submissions from Business Capability Teams.
- Ensure metadata standards are followed.
- Data Catalog Administration:
- Perform administrative tasks within the implemented data catalog.
- Identify improvements to enhance platform usability and performance.
- Data Marketplace Development:
- Collaborate with teams to define and promote data products in the Data Marketplace.
- Help improve adoption and visibility of curated data assets.
- Data Quality:
- Support the development and monitoring of data quality jobs.
- Partner with BCTs and other team members to track and improve data quality metrics.
- General Data Governance Support:
- Participate in governance forums, working groups, and contribute to training and awareness programs.
- Help document processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and custodians to ensure data definitions and usage.
- Help onboard new users and expanding use cases.
- Allow AI-Ready Data Capabilities
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Data Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
- Experience with metadata management and data cataloging.
- Understand data lifecycle and governance frameworks.
- Exposure to data product development and marketplace concepts.
- Knowledge of Databricks or similar data integration platforms.
- Familiarity with Collibra, Identity, Active Directory, and data quality tools.
