Job Description
Position Summary
The Trade Planner is an individual contributor within the Supply Chain organization, responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as all applicable customs regulations. This role supports the movement of products, services, and technology across borders, including operations in bonded warehouses and free/foreign trade zones. The Trade Planner is capable of instructing, auditing, and verifying how transaction-related information is processed, archived, and reported both internally and to relevant government authorities.
This position ensures legal compliance and provides logistics administration and control in accordance with governmental and corporate regulations. It also contributes to cost optimization and productivity improvement practices.
Your Responsibilities
Prepare and review documentation to be submitted to customs brokers prior to shipment arrival.
Address classification discrepancies and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to prevent delays in the brokerage process.
Provide tracking updates and status reports for shipments under customs procedures.
Respond to customs authorities’ requests, including corrections and legalizations of import/export declarations.
Prepare and review export documentation.
Monitor and measure customs brokers’ performance using standard metrics and KPIs.
Ensure records are properly maintained by RA and any RA-approved third-party off-site storage vendors.
Approve invoices from customs brokers via OnBase, Shopping Cart, or Softway platforms.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately reflect current operations; update and coordinate with relevant contacts as needed.
Respond to import/export inquiries and participate in departmental projects as assigned.
The Essentials – You Will Have
Bachelor’s degree in International Commerce or Economic Sciences.
1 to 2 years of experience in Foreign Trade.
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and basic knowledge of SAP.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
Experience with the OneSource Global Trade (OSGT) platform.
