Job Description
As a Technology Consultant you will provide technical expertise in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined region to help grow the Industrial Components, Safety, Sensing, ITD Business. You support our sellers in conversations with customers about our solutions. You have deep application, industry, product, technology or solution knowledge of automation control systems. You will report to the DIRECTOR, SWC & ITD – META and will work in a hybrid capacity within the region.
Your Responsibilities:
- Partner with the sales team in promoting the product range to existing and new customers; update customers on new products and technology, as related to their industry and application.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars and similar marketing activities; offer demonstrations to customers.
- Support market access (distributors and system integrators) in conveying the value of our products and technology; support the launch of new products to the sales teams and channel.
- Validate and resolve product compatibility issues within architectural solutions for Industrial Components, Safety, Sensing, ITD and provide guidance to customers.
- Use your domain expertise as as resource for internal partners and to advise customers on our products, solutions and services.
- Analyze competitive products, have knowledge of competitor's strategies, and further define competitive differentiators.
- Understand business models, organization and go to market strategy, and leverage where appropriate.

Allen-Bradley components are foundational to industrial automation systems:
- Circuit Protection: MCCBs, MPCBs, MCBs, fuse holders, disconnect switches
- Connection Devices: Ethernet, ControlNet™, DeviceNet™, Safety Connection Systems
- Relays and Timers: General-purpose and safety relays
- Push Buttons and Pilot Devices: For operator interface and control
- Terminal Blocks and Power Supplies: For electrical distribution and control
- E200/E300 Intelligent Overload Relay
- Soft Starters (e.g., SMC-3, SMC Flex, SMC-50

The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
- TUV certified in Safety will be an advantage; FS Eng (TÜV Rheinland, # 20653/20 – Machinery) Safety TUV Certified .

- A valid driver's license.
- The ability to travel locally 50% of the time to customers
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of experience
- Knowledge of Rockwell's various Controller & I/O Hardware Platforms, Network Hardware & Topologies, Server Infrastructure, and Rockwell Software Portfolio (Industrial Components, Safety, Sensing, ITD)
- Familiarity with outcome-based selling
- Knowledge of industry strategies
- Demonstrated technical expertise in Industrial Components, Safety, Sensing, ITD
