Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer you will provide customer support through the performance of the on-site installation, overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment. You will instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system and serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
You will work onsite in Warsaw and report to your Team Leader and Manager of Service in Poland.
The first employment contract is for 6 months, and the next one is for an indefinite period. We are looking for a permanent employee.
Work in the office from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 16:00, in facilities it may be more during commissioning (RA pays overtime). Very occasionally work at the weekend due to our client's conditions (also extra overtime).
We provide 3 or 4 months of initial training - "Engineer in Training Program by Rockwell Automation University.
Your Responsibilities:
- Implement projects and maintenance services in the field of PLC controllers, HMI, motion, industrial networks, and network configuration.
- Manage projects led by the LCS department (modernization of existing lines, migrations).
- Active technical support under existing contracts.
- Collaboration on projects of national or international importance to RA.
- Completing service reports.
- Maintaining good relations with customers.
- Cooperation with the Sales Department and maintenance department.
- Improve own qualifications and knowledge related to the entrusted scope of responsibilities, and participation in trainings.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Higher technical education (faculty of Computer Science, Automation, Robotics, Electronics, or Electrical).
- Read electrical diagrams.
- Polish and English language skills in speech and writing.
- Readiness for business trips in Poland (30%-40% of work time, possible travel abroad in the future, 60%-70% on-site work in Warsaw).
- Drive license cat. B (company car for trips for the first year. Then a permanent company car).
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 1+ years of experience in PLC and HMI programming.
- Knowledge of Rockwell Automation software will be an advantage.
