Job Description

Position Summary

As an Engineering Manager, you will provide technical leadership to a team supporting the product development.

You will foster collaboration across Engineering, Product Management, Business, Project Management, and Quality, motivating and mentoring the team to maintain.

You will report to Senior Engineering Manager based in Singapore.

Minimum Qualification:

· Ability and Attitude

• You have passion in embedded engineering. Have desired for continuous improvement in applying best practice and modern technologies in embedded design.

o You value quality, productivity, technical innovation, and creativity.

Experience

o Minimum 12 years of experience in embedded product development.

o Minimum 5 years of experience as a people manager in product development.

o Experience in developing embedded software, including product verification, and validation knowledge.

o You have Ability to guide a team in analyzing and solving complex problems involving both hardware and firmware.

o Knowledge hardware in high-speed digital /analog circuits. Knowledge in Industrial Automation communication will be advantage.

o Knowledge of analysis tools, design guidelines, and best practices.

o Other desired experience: Agile/SAFe methodologies, Cyber Security/IEC 62443, IEC 61508 Functional Safety.

• Education
  • Bachelor / Master of Engineering degree in Electrical/ Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of 10 - 15 engineers (embedded software/firmware, test engineers)

· Manage, coach, and hold the team accountable for achieving goals and meeting commitments.

o Ensure product development activities comply with corporate and business-level processes.

o You will Guide problem resolution, clarify ambiguities, and remove impediments.

o Lead the team towards continuous improvement.

o Encourage collaboration to achieve common goals.

o Monitor project status, escalate issues.

· Develop team technical competencies to ensure the team can stay competitive to support our needs.

· Manage resource allocation to ensure the right resources available to support the different needs.

· Identify and adopt the best practices and lessons learned from internal and external sources.

· Provide technical leadership, including driving problems toward resolution when encountering, uncertainty, or inflexibility. Help the team to remove barriers.

· Champion new ideas and programmes, embracing challenges and striving for success.

· Encourage a positive work environment to foster outstanding performance. You have and share a vision of success and work with individuals to help them reach their full potential. Celebrate and reward achievement in others.
