Job Description
As a Global Account Manager you will be responsible for planning and implementing sales to specific existing major accounts where growing relationships, identifying opportunities, and account management skills are critical. Accounts are top priorities, frequently have multiple buying locations internationally, making the process of establishing broad client relationships essential.
In this role based either in Germany, Austria or Switzerland under a hybrid working model, you will report to the Global OEM Director, Process.
Your Responsibilities:
- Promote business growth through extended teams, affording a balanced selling effort at multiple customer levels of the Global Account. Will team with, find compromise, and align with Field Sales Management, during the process of leveraging the extended geographic sales team.
- Develop a trust-based, mutually beneficial relationship with principal customer sponsors of the Global Account. Must mature and formalize Global Account relationship expectations and address all Rockwell Automation products & services with a growth strategy for each that maximizes "customer share" across all global regions.
- Ensure that the Global Account has access to all Rockwell Automation resources by establishing excellent working relationships with the product departments, geographic sales management, international and senior management.
- Participate in the Global Account's manufacturing and planning teams to provide control/information input at an early stage, and with this participation, recommend strategies to Rockwell Automation to benefit the Global Account.
- Identify new growth opportunities in products and services for the mutual benefit of Rockwell Automation and the Global Account.
- Provide the annual plan for the Global Account in coordination and cooperation with geographic Rockwell Automation sales/support offices world-wide and communicate this plan within Rockwell Automation and to the Global Account, including regular progress throughout the year.
- Work with the Global Account to expand Rockwell Automation's presence globally, and to deliver across geographic boundaries.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel 30-50% of time.
- 5 to 8 years of Corporate Account Management experience.
- Domain/application knowledge on the following sectors: Pulp & Paper, Metals, Hydropower, Energy.
- Experience coordinating global resources (local account management teams, departments)
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Experience selling at the senior management & executive levels, and convey Rockwell Automation's products & services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value
- Global Sales Experience
- Automation Experience:
- Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things technologies
- Variable frequency drives, motor control centers, power centric applications, coordinated drive systems
- Work with all levels of a manufacturing enterprise – CxO, operations leadership, technical leadership, plant leadership and OEM machine builders
