We are looking for an EHS Lead (South Pacific & SEA region) to be based in our Sydney, Melbourne or Singapore Office.
The EHS Lead will support the business operations in Australia, New Zealand and countries in southeast region. You will manage the implementation and maintenance of the company field organization, manufacturing operation and office Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs. You will provide leadership and technical resources to ensure business compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental government regulations and Rockwell Automation procedures. Will coordinate assessment and implementation of program conformance needs to meet specialized customer EHS program demands and high-risk industry requirements.
Job Description
Implement and maintain the Rockwell Automation environmental and safety management systems to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and Rockwell Automation procedures.
Facilitate and represent us with government agencies' field visits to understand the regulations and to ensure compliance.
Localize and implement Headquarters environmental, health and safety field and non-operations oriented procedures to ensure compliance to the environmental, health and safety permits and regulations.
Provide technical support, input and coordination on environmental, health and safety issues that affect projects and processes at the regional/country level.
Support new RA EHS programs through participation and engaging others.
Challenge the status quo and champions new programs; act as a catalyst of change and stimulate others to change; pave the way for needed changes; implement programs. Includes communication campaigns and other engagement activities.
Complete environmental, health and safety permits, reports, forms and surveys by regulation and Rockwell Automation policy and procedures for our organization, and submit them.
Respond to customer requests for EHS Plans such as safety manual for on-site project work, and support the project implementation plan.
Complete or provide guidance on EHS related questions in customer tenders.
Report monthly injury/illness metrics to Headquarters EHS; help investigate injury and illnesses; analyze work related injury and illness data to implement actions to prevent a recurrence of the injury/illness; and support efforts to return employees to productive work within assigned medical restrictions.
Ensure that environmental, health and safety assessments, personal protective equipment, procedures, training and other control measures by regulation and Rockwell Automation policy and procedures are provided for the employees. Define employee EHS training that meets regulatory and company requirements.
Ensure familiarity with company procedures.
Apply procedures in compliance with government laws. Procedures include: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 and 14000 and 45001, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network. Ensure compliance to Ethics, Standards of Business Conduct, other RA policies and the relevant government regulations in the geography.
Perform any other relevant responsibilities as and when assigned by Manager.
Education / Experience Requirements
Degree in Engineering / Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
5 years relevant experience in manufacturing or field service organisation.
May undertake occasional travel within Australia or to New Zealand or other international locations.
