Job Description

Commodity Manager will be accountable for implementation of the sourcing strategies using global strategic sourcing teams. You will be responsible for productivity based on annual spend with assigned commodity. You will have direct reporting to Sourcing Manager.

Team is located in Katowice, Poland

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the sourcing strategy using input from global Sourcing Managers and global business leaders.

Guide implementation of the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities. The Manager will also establish working relationships within the departments, bringing a strategic sourcing perspective to all main processes.

Lead and improve results of specific strategic sourcing projects within assigned commodities and must be successful at managing and influencing a team.Frequently will work with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance of the suppliers related to assigned commodities. Assess risk according to global procedures, conduct regular business reviews with suppliers and partners to ensure continuous improvement of the supply base.

Responsible for monthly reporting to senior management on measurements within the supply chain.

Identify and improve productivity improvements by leading joint supplier / unit teams - pursuing TCO reduction opportunities with the sourcing strategy.

Identify strategic sourcing best practices and lead these best practices into the Rockwell strategic sourcing toolkit.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

Master degree in economical or commercial field;

Minimum eight year of experience working in procurement in manufacturing and industrial environment; with at least 6 year of experience developing supplier strategies.

Knowledge of indirect commodities – Marketing and Professional Services commodites would be additional asset;

Relevant knowledge in strategic sourcing, operational procurement and supply-chain;

Team contributor – comfortable in leading, international and multicultural teams

Present results to senior management and work under stress.

Fluent in conducting presentations in English;

Project management skills;

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

Fluent English (written and verbal)

Knowledge of management applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint);

Travel: 10% (Domestic & International)
