Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the day to financial practices of the Software and Control business unit, while helping scale financial processes for growth and efficiencies. You will help shape a culture of accountability, best practices, and help support the broader Software and Controls finance organization. You will report to our Senior Finance Manager - Production Automation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly spend results of the SWC HQ, Design & Control and Visualization & Asset Management businesses, including explaining actual to budget/forecast performance, and identifying areas of risk and opportunity
- Develop annual budget and quarterly forecast for spend ensuring that business partners have visibility into future spend and understand decisions to be made to stay aligned with this spend
- Help consolidate Commercial spend for total SWC and prepare reporting for senior leadership
- Present and explain financial performance and main variances and changes vs. forecast, plan, and prior year to directors, VP’s and SVP.
- Provide financial guidance to the Project Management Organizations (PMO) to ensure overall project spending fits within commercial expenditure budget
- Provide financial analysis and reporting of headcount, capital expenditures, and structural productivity
- Work with HR to ensure hiring plans align with approved budgets and communicate headcount and S&B plans to senior leaders
- Work with business teams as an active partner to support new programs and implement business process improvements
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements being provided, including directing the GA&I finance teams in the preparation of monthly journal entries
- Implement and monitor internal control processes to ensure controls are in place
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires 3 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting within financial planning and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience working in a matrix environment across multiple departments and businesses
