The Product Owner/Control Hardware Engineer is a role that leads an engineering Scrum team composed of Mechanical, Power Electronic, and Control Hardware Engineers. Responsibilities include collaboration with product managers, engineering, management, and cooperating with Rockwell Automation Partners on new platform drive design.
You will report to the Development Manager and is based in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities:
- Gather product’s customer/market requirements from all global egions and disparate sources. Collaborate with product managers, engineering, and other stakeholders to build an idea for a feature, function, or product to address these market requirements and our business objectives.
- Manage product requirements through an agile development process while controlling any changes and effects on the product and recommend and negotiate appropriate trade-offs when needed.
- Contribute to product Vision and Roadmap
- Lead Solution Responsible Team, which supervises the design work to meet product requirements and ensures high-quality outcomes. Work with internal development and external partners and suppliers on common product development programs.
- Participate in conceptual development of a product line architecture and partitioning, enhancing the prior art of product performance and cost effectivity.
- Assist field service in the resolution of complex field application issues with respect to product performance and system design. Interface with customers in equipment conception, testing and start-up.
- Identify and acquire the needed resources for accomplishment of project goals.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in leadership position,
- Teamwork oriented, experience in technical negotiations with suppliers.
- Experience in hardware component and platform architecture design - high complexity control boards, product-level design.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering,
- 7+ years of experience in hardware product development.
- Knowledge of tools and methodologies
- Hardware design experience: knowledge of ECAD and simulation tools, ability to operate measuring instruments, understanding of electromagnetic compatibility and its impact on design
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to keep transparent in communication and relationships with the company, clients, and colleagues
- The ability to travel 5% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Understanding of industrial automation, including industrial drives/inverters
- Experience working in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
- Experience with Jira / Jira Align / Jama
- Knowledge of DFMEA analysis and methodology
- Familiarity with appropriate agency requirements such as EN61800-3, 61800-5, IEC 61000-6, CISPR11.
- Experience in work with agency standards such as IEC, CENELEC Committees, UL, TUV.
