About the position: We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Toronto-based engineering team or work remotely from anywhere in North America. Engineers at NXM are challenged to solve a range of technical problems related to building a fast, reliable and scalable security platform. You will directly impact a complex and growing codebase. In this role you will: automate and continuously improve development and release processes for Cloud and Endpoints that will be used by thousands of IoT device makers and deployed on hundreds of millions of IoT devices; build and maintain DevOps processes with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, AWS CodeBuild); support teams with repository and user access requests; monitor and maintain uptime; support deployment packages on internal and public-facing repositories (e.g., Artifactory); ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats; ensure appropriate project documentation for each new build or release; smoke test builds for accuracy and completeness as part of build release management. Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent; familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker containers, and microservice architecture; strong scripting (e.g., Python, Shell script, Ansible, Go) and automation skills; industry exposure to embedded SDL and test automation with real IoT devices within CI/CD pipeline; strong expertise with Google repo manifest integration and git hooks implementation; excellent teamwork and communication skills; experience with Hashicorp tools such as Terraform and Vault (nice to have); DevOps certification from AWS, Google or Microsoft (nice to have).
