Your Mission
The Risk Monitoring Analyst oversees and analyses merchants’ traffic and checks for any trends, patterns, and anomalies in the approval/decline ratio, using the reports available from the Nuvei Monitoring Systems. The Analyst reports directly to the Risk Monitoring Analysts Team Leader. The Risk Monitoring Analyst is available 24/7.
Main Goals
- Monitor closely and analyze merchants’ traffic, deposit trends, transactional data, consumer activity, and other relevant metrics to identify potential risks, patterns, or deviations from expected approval/decline ratio performance and consumer behavior, using the reports available from the Nuvei Monitoring Systems.
- Alert in case of any potential or abnormal activity, trends, and findings detected during the daily workflow.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Risk Monitoring Analysts Team Leader and/or higher management according to communicated deadlines.
- Follow the set of monitoring procedures and best practices in place to minimize losses to the Company and help enhance and optimize the monitoring processes and systems.
- Students in science, programming, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify patterns indicative of risk.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in risk assessment and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Willingness to work part-time (take shifts).
- Basic knowledge in SQL.
Responsibilities and daily tasks
- Monitor merchants’ traffic using the Nuvei Monitoring Systems and available online reports.
- Alert in case of merchants that started/stopped/ceased processing or have major traffic increase/decrease.
- Alert in case a merchant started/stopped processing specific payment method.
- Monitor and alert for sharp decrease in approval/decline ratio.
- Check for traffic trends and advise on traffic distribution.
- Analyze and detect abnormal deposit and consumer behavior, as well as traffic changes in all payment methods per merchant.
- Assist the Risk Monitoring Analysts Team Leader to develop and implement risk monitoring strategies, measures, and protocols to enhance the detection of anomalies and prevention of inefficient deposit activities on merchant and consumer level and in all available payment methods per merchant.
- Participate in trainings upon demand.
