The Senior Manager of ACH Technical Operations reports to the SVP, Infrastructure Operations and is responsible for ensuring daily processing is accurate, timely, and monitored. The role collaborates with ACH business operations to manage the technical aspects of day-to-day platform activities with direct interaction to the database and code base.

Responsibilities

Monitoring activities performed by the system and ensuring they complete on-time and correctly.

Become knowledgeable of all operating functions, timing, and requirements for successful operation of the Paya ACH platform.

Provide daily management reports of processing status

Manage 2 - 3 support engineers who are responsible for daily processing.

Mentor Support Engineers to become leading ACH technology team members.

Automate all processing tasks which can be automated.

Create complex analytic queries on large data sets.

Ability to understand stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

Set and manage performance considerations for all queries written.

Modify data and scripts where appropriate to accomplish required tasks.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent related field experience

Minimum of 5 years of software database development required

Production Support experience

Recent experience with SQL Server, batch processing and job schedulers

Extensive knowledge of T-SQL language

Knowledge of principles of database design, data acquisition, and data access analysis and design

Knowledge of stored procedures, query optimization, and indexes

Knowledge of ACH domain and batch processing

Strong communication skills a must

Knowledge of Excel

C# and VB.NET basic knowledge and experience
