Your Mission

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources Team in Montreal, Quebec. We are seeking a professional, engaging, and forward-thinking recruiter, who is looking for a fast-paced and challenging internal recruitment role.

Working in a busy HR department, you will take responsibility for our robust recruitment process while providing an effective recruitment function predominantly in Canada with a focus on IT, Sales, Finance, and Operational roles.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with hiring managers to understand their requirements to effectively manage the full cycle recruitment process.
  • Build a robust pipeline of talent consisting of both active and passive candidate pools through a variety of recruitment methods, including social media, sourcing, job boards, referrals, networking, and agencies.
  • Represent Nuvei at recruiting events, including general career fairs (in person or virtually), University/College/CEGEP career events, and networking events that will help to further build our candidate pipeline.
  • Construct a list of preferred suppliers, negotiate terms, and actively manage the relationship.
  • Work with hiring managers to meet deadlines, follow processes, and embed best practices to ensure a great candidate experience.
  • Lead the interview process, ensuring timely feedback and an all-round positive experience for the candidate and hiring manager.
  • Ensure all reporting is carried out to include response times, cost per hire and headcount.
  • Manage all related administrative responsibilities, including interview invitations, follow up with candidates, offer letter and contracts with the support of the local HR Director.
  • Assess candidate information, including resume and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System.
  • Develop hiring strategies and procedures in line with industry trends, as well as keeping up to date on advancements in the field.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Solid experience from within the FinTech and specifically Payments sector is a plus.
  • Solid commercial roles recruitment experience.
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases, and professional networks.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) – ideally Workable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in French.
  • Ability to liaise with internal departments and develop hiring strategies and profiles.
  • Advanced knowledge of effective hiring platforms that attract suitable applicants.
  • Exceptional ability to screen candidates, compile shortlists, and interview candidates.
  • Experience in creating awareness of the company brand and establishing professional relationships with candidates.
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
  • Experience of having led the recruitment of a wide range of roles, from entry-level to management level.
  • Ability to work on multiple different roles at one time and work to tight deadlines.
  • Able to influence, build relationships, spin several plates, and are used to working in a fast-growing, agile business.
  • Able to work independently and add value.
  • Able to negotiate terms of employment effectively.

Working Language

  • English (written and spoken) is the language used most of the time, as work colleagues, clients, and strategic suppliers are geographically dispersed.
