Your Mission

The Merchant Boarding manages the onboarding process of merchants (retail, digital games, marketplaces, PSPs, etc.) and performs the required Customer Due Diligence to approve the merchants to process with Nuvei. The team member performs their activities in accordance with AML/CFT/SA rules and regulations and as per the Customer Due Diligence Policy. Furthermore, you are responsible for the onboarding of the merchants with payment providers (e.g., Visa, MC, Amex, WeChat, Alipay, Ideal, EPS, etc.).

The Merchant Boarding Manager reports to the Director Merchant Boarding and is part of a multicultural team

Role and responsibilities

  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for Ecommerce Merchants, Marketplaces, PSP etc.;
  • Perform periodical and event driven CDD reviews ;
  • Keep merchant files up-to-date;
  • Onboard merchants with payment method providers;
  • Develop and maintains work procedures
  • Innovate and optimize the onboarding process together with Development and Product;
  • Provide support to Sales and Account management to existing and new merchants;
  • Coordinate with the payment methods providers to continuously improve merchants onboarding;
  • Provide support for periodic reviews and audits;
  • Working together with sales, risk, product, technical integration;
  • Other responsibilities within the scope of the Merchant Boarding Department.
  • Experienced in underwriting, legal or compliance roles;
  • Previous experience in financial services (ecommerce is preferred);
  • Knowledge and understanding of AML and KYC is an added value;
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized, efficiency is key;
  • Strong analytical skills and process oriented;
  • High working pace and ability to set the right priorities;
  • Customer focused, able to deliver a good customer experience while enforcing strict compliance policies;
  • Ability to manage multiple task and projects in a very dynamic environment with fast changing priorities;
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
