🧠 The Role

NPX is seeking a Nuclear Business Consultant to strengthen our nuclear strategy and business context across digital and AI initiatives in Canada. This role exists to bridge deep nuclear industry knowledge with business and market insight, ensuring our digital, monitoring, and AI solutions are grounded in real utility needs and positioned for growth.

You will operate as an overarching, cross-functional advisor, supporting initiatives across the Digital Transformation and AI portfolio. Rather than being embedded in a single team, you will float where needed, bringing nuclear credibility, strategic clarity, and business perspective to help teams level up and scale impact.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to the client site in Bruce County, as required by project needs.

🎯 What You’ll Drive

  • Strengthen M&D/COLM capabilities by applying nuclear and utility insight to expand solutions beyond existing clients and into new markets.
  • Shape and validate digital priorities and roadmaps, ensuring initiatives are practical, credible, and aligned with nuclear operating and regulatory environments.
  • Meet clients to understand their pain points and ensure the solutions (AI and software) are designed to meet client requirements.
  • Ground solutions in real business and operational use cases, helping teams focus on outcomes that matter to nuclear utilities.
  • Design and enhance new processes for various work groups like engineering, supply chain, work management, and project management.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities across digital transformation and AI initiatives, stepping in where needed to unblock progress and sharpen direction.
  • Elevate the overall quality and impact of digital and AI work by embedding nuclear context into decision-making and delivery.

  • Nuclear & Business Expertise:
    • You have a strong background in the nuclear industry, combined with business, strategy, or commercial experience.
    • You understand how technologies, such as ERP, EAM, and BIM, support operations and decision-making.
  • Consulting Skills: You lead project work from scoping through execution, manage senior clients and diverse stakeholders, and communicate insights effectively through well-structured presentations and slide decks.
  • Results & Impact: You focus on outcomes and help teams deliver solutions that create measurable value for clients.
