Novarc Technologies is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team and support the production of our cobots.
Summary: As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for reporting to the Director of Engineering and part of the Hardware Engineering team, you will provide manufacturing support for all Novarc products. The manufacturing engineer is expected to work closely with the manufacturing and operations teams and be the bridge between engineering and manufacturing. The successful candidate will aid in BOM architecture design and configuration management as well as improve product quality and performance by implementing engineering change orders.
Work Environment:
This is a permanent full time position.
We offer a hybrid work environment but candidates must be willing and able to commute to the office several times a week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to configuration design and BOM management of existing and new products;
Execute engineering change orders for continuous improvement of products;
Work closely with technicians and the production team to roll out new designs and engineering changes;
Work closely with the quality team to resolve non-conformance issues and liaise with vendors on technical issues;
Assist in manufacturing work flow development and assembly methods;
Support the development of assembly instructions;
Design, procure and test jigs and fixtures for manufacturing;
Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures;
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent of combined experience);
Minimum 1 year of experience in hands-on mechanical assembly of components (fabrication, welding, pneumatics, wiring);
Foundational knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent;
Strong communication and documentation skills, willingness to work independently;
Self starter and strong organizational and time management skills.
Nice to have:
Welding experience and a genuine interest in welding (GMAW, GTAW);
Interest and passion in manufacturing and manufacturing systems;
Hands on experience operating machine tools and equipment;
Technical writing experience ;
Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5.
