Novarc Technologies is looking for a Data Annotation Assistant to join our growing team of Robotic AI in welding.
Summary: Our Data Quality Team is responsible for crafting high quality datasets at scale. You will be performing in-house annotation tasks and participate in the quality assurance of outsourced projects.
This role is ideal for individuals in the early stages of their careers who are looking for opportunities in the tech industry, with a focus on AI. We are accepting applications for internships and co-op positions. In this role, you’ll gain foundational knowledge in computer vision and machine learning, providing insight into how labels are utilized by algorithms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Annotate, categorize, and check the quality of annotated data for various projects, by using different tools.
Conduct Quality assurance by evaluating work performed by an external partner.
Collaborate with team members on day-to-day problem solving and projects assigned by providing feedback on observed trends in the dataset.
Comprehend the overall purpose of an annotation task based on guidelines and supporting examples.
Perform repeating annotation tasks with consistency, quality, and speed.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Familiarity with arc welding processes - GMAW preferred
High School diploma/ GED or higher.
Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
Ability to communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills.
Ability to detect and distinguish subtle variations between images.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high levels of data accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using data annotation tools and platforms.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly and be able to prioritize assignments.
Experience with photo or video editing software.
Able to follow directions, detail-oriented, patient, and quality focused.
Nice-to-have:
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and the importance of high-quality data in AI.
Experience in data annotation, data labeling, or a related role.
Passionate and curious about technology.
