Global Continuous Improvement Manager

Location: Waterloo

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent

Position Vacancy Type: Newly created position.

Compensation Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

THE IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Continuous Improvement Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability across our global operations. This highly collaborative role partners with leaders and teams across regions and departments to align processes, drive innovation, and embed a culture of operational excellence.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Develop and execute global continuous improvement strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Identify processes and systems that present opportunities for improvement, analyze root causes, and prioritize areas with the highest impact.
  • Lead and deliver high-impact improvement projects
  • Develop and implement new processes, or refine existing ones, to enhance workflow efficiency and performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization by training and mentoring staff on CI principles.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, HR, and Commercial functions to harmonize processes worldwide.
  • Drive standardization and alignment of global processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and ROI metrics, regularly reporting outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with IT and digital transformation teams to introduce automation, digitization, and emerging technologies that improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Champion change management by developing and implementing training, communication, and coaching programs to ensure adoption and sustainability.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Proven experience leading global continuous improvement or operational excellence programs.
  • Advanced expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred), Kaizen, or other improvement methodologies.

ADDITIONAL STRENGTHS:

  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and training skills.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization is a strong asset.
  • Familiar with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and, ideally, ISO 13485.
