We are looking for a Finance lead to join our Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Finance will lead all our financial planning processes, accounting operations, investment decision analysis, and development of business insights. You’ll play a key role in collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team helping to influence Noibu’s future and strategies across the business. Using advanced modeling skills you’ll help us to grow responsibly and intentionally to our large goals and help us validate the financial aspects of business decisions. You will play a key role in fundraising alongside our CEO.

What you'll be doing:

  • Financial Strategy: Support the CEO in preparing for any future fundraising processes, M&A activities, due diligence, and company financial strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to optimize financial performance.
  • Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing Finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth.
  • Financial Modelling: You will be deeply involved in learning and enhancing the company’s current models including the Operating Model, Cohort Model, and Capacity Planning Model. You will be building new financial models that enable leadership to make effective decisions about the company's revenue projections, cost base, and key business drivers.
  • Financial Reporting & Operations: Oversee all bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, internal controls, reporting and adhering to all regulatory deadlines around bank covenants, tax compliance, payroll, and R&D credits. You’ll be executing on a tight closing cycle in an accurate, timely, and complete manner to deliver monthly consolidated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, SaaS metrics, KPI reporting packages to stakeholders including executive team, board of directors, investors, and banks. You’ll provide high-quality commentary and recommendations in completing variance analysis, forecasting, working capital, and operating model updates.
  • Corporate Planning: Work with leaders across the business to develop long-range strategic and financial plans and ensure it is achievable against the company’s financial objectives.
  • Financial Processes: Responsible for developing and enhancing accounting policies and workflows (e.g. order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, etc.) to align with Noibu’s growth and complexity of transactions. Contribute to building the department’s handbook, new internal controls, and work towards our objective of building a world-class finance team.
  • Budgeting & Analysis: Help support annual and periodic budgeting processes, including preparation, review, assigning department-specific budgets, and tracking monthly / quarterly actuals vs. budget. You will conduct thorough analysis with high-quality narratives to inform stakeholders on performance.
  • Internal Controls & Audit: Lead the external audit process and be a core contributor to due diligence in future capital raises.
  • Business Partnering / Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a finance business partner to departments, assisting them in evaluating investment cases and reviewing their actuals vs budget. You’ll play chief investigator on any operational issues that arise. You’ll review vendor contracts and help with negotiations as needed.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist in the planning and implementation of key operational projects such as new cost centre frameworks, performance dashboards, custom P&Ls by dimensions for different departments, metrics dictionary, etc. Assist in the planning and implementation of key operational projects such as sales compensation plans, performance dashboards, P&L by dimension, metrics dictionary, etc.

Who you are:

  • Experience leading the Finance function in high-growth SaaS/Technology companies, specifically managing revenue in the range of $10-50M+, and have successfully overseen Series A - C funding rounds.
  • Bachelor of Commerce specializing in accounting or finance as well as completion of a professional designation and / or graduate degree (i.e. CPA, CFA, and / or MBA).
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and business models
  • Experience working in both a strategic and operational capacity to lead/partner on business objectives
  • Proven ability to recommend, influence, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide business units to improve competitive positioning and profitability
  • Possess a strong desire to continuously grow and learn within the finance field and the SaaS industry. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging financial technologies.
  • Strong financial modeling skills including expert proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets or significant experience in other data analysis and dashboarding tools
  • Demonstrated success in driving financial growth, increasing revenue, and optimizing profitability. Experience with SaaS metrics and business models is a plus.
