Stewardship and Marketing Intern - 3 month role

Role Overview & Purpose
As the Stewardship and Marketing Intern, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Stewardship & Marketing team with a strong focus on data organization, system optimization, and stakeholder engagement. This role also offers light support to the Programs team. You’ll work closely with prospective applicants, alumni, partners, and the broader NEXT Canada team to help strengthen our systems and amplify our community impact.
Your mission: contribute to marketing and stewardship initiatives through a solutions-first mindset, with a particular focus on Salesforce data management, organization, and communications. You'll gain valuable experience working alongside a national network of founders, academics, and business leaders—while helping build the systems that support their success.
The Opportunity
Your day-to-day may include:
- Leading and supporting Salesforce data migration and cleanup projects to improve system accuracy and efficiency
- Organizing, managing, and tracking stakeholder and donor data using Salesforce and Airtable
- Collaborating with the team to streamline and improve internal workflows and CRM processes.
- Supporting stewardship and communications efforts across social media, email, and web
- Updating and maintaining content on the corporate WordPress website
- Assisting with the development and publication of GRiT magazine
- Organizing and coordinating events, workshops, and speaker sessions
- Supporting holiday mailings and donor engagement touchpoints
What You Bring
We're looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy team player who’s excited to contribute to a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key qualifications include:
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce (data entry, management, or migration required)
- Proficiency in Airtable, Google Suite, Excel, and Word
- Experience managing or updating WordPress websites
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and systems thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfort navigating multiple priorities and deadlines
- A flexible schedule (some evening events, with time off in lieu)
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to take initiative across teams
