Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians

At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly scaling tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

The Role

We’re hiring for our Strategy & Operations team to drive strategic execution across Neo’s core business verticals. In this high-agency role, you’ll collaborate with leaders across the company to analyze customer behaviour, evaluate financial performance, and develop initiatives that accelerate growth and engagement.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of consumer banking in Canada by grounding our most important decisions in deep analysis, experimentation, and sharp commercial insight.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive critical analysis that connects customer behavior, financial performance, and operational data to uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency.

  • Build business cases for strategic bets, pricing experiments, and feature development—grounded in market analysis, customer research, and unit economics.

  • Design and run experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate outcomes using a mix of financial, product, and behavioral data.

  • Work closely with leadership to identify and launch initiatives aligned with our strategic priorities.

  • Own company communications on progress against our strategy and objectives, tracking and reporting on performance across the business.

  • Partner with P&L leaders to shape and sequence roadmap initiatives based on expected impact and operational feasibility.

Execute within Neo’s strategic planning process to translate financial objectives into strategic priorities and mentor analysts in conducting complex analysis.

Who we are looking for:

  • You have 2-4 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain), investment banking, and an internal strategy/operations role at a high-growth tech or fintech company.

  • Strong commercial instincts—you naturally connect product features and customer behavior with revenue, retention, and lifetime value.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to break down ambiguous problems and build data-driven, analytical frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (like Hex, Looker, or Tableau) and a strong command of Excel for financial modeling and analysis.

  • You're not afraid of data. You understand data structures and, with the support of AI tools, are comfortable building your own queries to find answers.

  • High-EQ and a natural collaborator, with experience owning strategic projects across cross-functional teams.

  • You are adaptable, thrive under pressure, and have an exceptional focus on process rigor and attention to detail.

Working at Neo:

The people who thrive at Neo are resourceful, growth-oriented, and driven to win. Our commitment to customer success drives everything we do, from building world-class products to providing exceptional support at every step of their journey. If this resonates with you, keep reading.

We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and empowering each other to move fast and think big. You’ll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices, where ideas move quickly and teams build momentum together. As we continue to scale and evolve, we’re looking for builders, innovators, and problem solvers who thrive on challenge–people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well-paved path.

All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you’ve heard that Neo employees work hard, it’s true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other. Working at Neo means taking ownership of your work and driving results, knowing that your contributions directly impact the company’s success.
