Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians

At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

The Role

Neo Financial is seeking a Manager, Product Design to join our Calgary, AB team. You’ll be leading a cross-functional group of designers focused on delivering high-quality, customer-centric digital experiences across Neo’s suite of financial products.

As a Manager, Product Design, you'll work closely with product managers, engineers, strategists, and other stakeholders to shape, design, and ship experiences that help Canadians get more from their money. You’ll guide a talented team through the design process—from discovery and definition to delivery and iteration—while creating an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and excellence in execution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead a team of product designers, providing mentorship, feedback, and support in their professional growth
  • Own day-to-day design delivery and ensure consistent execution across multiple teams or product areas
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other Design Leaders to define problems and solutions that create meaningful impact
  • Advocate for customer needs and ensure user insights are embedded in the design process
  • Drive clear communication and alignment between design and cross-functional teams
  • Help improve design operations, tooling, and workflows to enable effective collaboration and scale
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of our design system
  • Foster a culture of quality, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team

Who we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of product designers
  • 7+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong craft and problem solving
  • Proven ability to lead design efforts in fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional product environments
  • Financial technology or banking experience is a bonus
