High Performance at Neo

We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We’re on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.

Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo’s success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.

Professional Integrity: We’re asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • You conduct skilled AML research, risk assessments, and reporting in a timely manner to ensure client risk is appropriately identified and mitigated
  • You leverage a variety of sources to support your research, thinking outside of the box on how and where to confirm your findings
  • You assist and partner in the development and implementation of appropriate AML/ATF processes, policies and controls
  • You support the facilitation of periodic AML/ATF risk and self-assessment activities for the overall framework
  • You maintain adequate documentation of Customer Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence in line with Neo’s AML/ATF policy and procedures
  • You resolve post-completion aspects of files, such as error remediations
  • You liaise with internal partners to collect missing information and documents, confirmation and validation
  • You ensure that the KYC Due Diligence package for client for new onboarding client or recertification of existing client is completed in a timely manner and in compliance with regulations

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in AML and customer onboarding
  • Well developed understanding of, and experience with customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and transaction monitoring
  • A comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and legislation, including FINTRAC, PCMLTFA and OSFI Guidelines
  • Critical and analytical thinker, well organized, with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently and seek guidance when needed
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with business partners
  • A good team player with a can-do spirit in a fast-paced environment
  • ACAMS certification is considered an asset
