High Performance at Neo

We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We’re on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.

Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo’s success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.

Professional Integrity: We’re asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

The role

The Credit Services Manager is a key leadership position within the Credit Services department. This individual will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by contributing to mitigating and identifying credit risk, optimizing collections processes, and providing essential financial solutions to customers in need with an educational mindset and approach.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You lead and inspire the Credit Services team, motivating Specialists to meet performance targets and maintain high-quality service delivery
  • You clearly communicate expectations of your team members, and you conduct regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance conversations
  • You analyze financial data and develop and implement collection strategies to maximize debt recovery while maintaining a customer-centric approach
  • You collaborate with senior leadership to prepare reports on collections performance, delinquency trends, and recovery rates
  • You’re a point of contact for escalated customer inquiries or complaints related to credit and collections matters
  • You manage insolvency cases including bankruptcy filings and debt settlement negotiations, and you collaborate with external agencies to handle legal proceedings and recovery efforts

Who we are looking for:

  • You have 5 or more years of experience in credit management, collections, or financial services, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • You’re a subject matter expert. You have a deep understanding of credit laws, regulations, and compliance requirements; and you’re continuously expanding this knowledge by keeping up to date on the market
  • Your decisions are driven by data, which means you have a strong understanding of how to use numbers to tell a story
  • You’re proficient with financial software tools for data analysis and reporting
  • You’re a relationship builder - your experience shows your ability to work cross-functionally and maximize business outcomes through effective and open collaboration
  • You handle sensitive situations with the utmost empathy and professionalism
  • Your current and previous employers highlight your excellent written and verbal communication skills
