The Role

Neo Financial is looking for a full-time Operations Accountant, Accounting to join our team in Calgary, AB. Our finance team is more than just your average group of number crunchers with their heads down in data. They see the big picture and are all about growth opportunities, knocking down business barriers, and building a future in the fintech world. What you will be doing

• Play an integral role in Neo’s daily accounting processes through completing various daily reconciliations (bank, credit card, etc.).
• Responsible for a variety of month-end close functions (bank reconciliations, prepaid assets, inventory, accounts payable, etc.).
• Investigate and reconcile general ledger accounts, including follow-up with appropriate business unit teams.
• Aid in the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions on an ad-hoc basis.
• Assist with information requests and analysis pertaining to Neo’s monthly internal reporting, year-end financial statement audit, and various tax reporting obligations.

Who we are looking for

• A university degree in Accounting/Finance, with enrollment or plans to enroll in the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail will help you succeed in turning high volumes of data and deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to document processes and procedures, and take initiative to recommend improvements.
• Comfortable working with autonomy and ownership in a fast paced environment.
