Neo Financial is looking for a full-time Financial Analyst, Accounting to join our team in Calgary, AB. Our finance team is more than just your average group of number crunchers with their heads down in data. What you'll be doing
- Play an integral role in Neo’s month-end accounting and reporting process, performing both preparer and reviewer functions
- Build procedures and processes from the ground up, while improving on current procedures to create a more nimble accounting and finance function
- Be an active member of the finance team, willing to investigate and pioneer solutions to problems, and be flexible in completing assigned tasks
- Preparation of process and controls documents, reports, reconciliations, and other working papers essential to finance and operations.
- Manage working relationships and communicate with external business partners on an ongoing basis.
- Assist with Neo's year-end financial statement audit.
Who were looking for
- A university degree in Accounting/Finance, with 3+ years of work experience in accounting and/or financial reporting
- Enrolment in/completion of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program would be an asset
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS.Strong analytical, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills with a keen sense towards detail
- Comfortable working with autonomy and ownership in a fast-paced environment, taking initiative to resolve issues
- Public accounting firm experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of SQL or Python would be an asset.
