Summary:Position: Accounting Analyst, Full TimeLocation: Calgary, Canada (Onsite Job)Employment Type: Full Time (Paid)Working Hours: 8-hour workdaysStart Date: Mid-August
Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of accounts on a daily basis, which includes investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and support of financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to gather financial data and assist in analysis.
- Assist in monitoring and reviewing expense reports for adherence to company policies.
- Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting procedures and processes.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and assist in ensuring compliance.
- Assist in various ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the accounting team.
- Completion of an Accounting or Finance degree
- Proficiency in MS Office, with intermediate/advanced Excel skill set
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
