THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Motion Meetings as a founding sales team member and help us build our revenue engine from scratch. You’ll be a true hunter, generating pipeline in a zero-brand-recognition environment and closing deals with labor unions and democratic organizations.

This is a 100% hands-on revenue generation role where you own the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing. You’ll work directly with the CEO, shape our go-to-market strategy based on what you learn in the field, and have early equity ownership as we scale from $75K to multi-million dollar ARR.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Hunt & Generate Pipeline (60% time)

•       Build prospect lists and execute direct outbound campaigns (email, phone, LinkedIn)

•       Generate 25-35 qualified opportunities per month through cold outreach

•       Attend conferences and industry events to identify and engage prospects

•       Maintain a healthy pipeline of 50-60 active opportunities

Close Deals (15% time)

•       First 6 Months Target: $50K+ ARR closed

•       Run full sales cycle: discovery calls, demos, proposals, negotiations, closing

•       Navigate complex decision-making processes with volunteer committees

•       Build relationships with key stakeholders across target organizations

Shape Strategy & Contribute (25% time)

•       Identify which verticals and messaging convert best

•       Test and refine outreach approaches, sharing insights with leadership

•       Maintain accurate pipeline data in Hubspot for forecasting

•       Collect competitive intelligence and market feedback

WHAT YOU BRING

•       3+ years B2B sales experience with proven outbound pipeline generation, not just inbound lead management

•       2+ years SaaS or software sales with demonstrated quota achievement

•       Hunter mentality: Track record of building pipeline from scratch without relying on marketing-generated leads

•       Zero-brand-recognition experience: Success in startup, new product launch, or greenfield territory environments

•       Hubspot or similar CRM proficiency: Pipeline management and accurate forecasting

•       Complex sales capability: Comfortable navigating multi-stakeholder, committee-based decision processes

Bonus points: Experience selling to unions, associations, or member-based organizations | Familiarity with consensus-driven purchasing | Startup sales experience

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base Salary: $50,000-$60,000 CAD

Commission: 10% of all ARR you close, guaranteed for 3 years (most companies only guarantee year 1)

Profit Share: Participation in company profit sharing plan as we scale past key thresholds

Equity Potential: up to 0.35% ownership via Employee Stock Ownership Plan

Benefits: Remote/flexible work | Early-team member status

Total Cash Comp (Year 1): $75K-$85K at target performance | $97K-$115K in years 2-3 as commission compounds

SUCCESS MILESTONES

First 6 Months:

•       Close $50K+ in new ARR

•       Build pipeline of 50-60 active opportunities

•       Establish repeatable outbound prospecting rhythms

Full Year:

•       Generate $150K-$200K in new ARR

•       Provide strategic insights that shape product and go-to-market decisions

•       Contribute to sales playbook and process documentation
