Developing internal business applications is boring, expensive, and a maintenance nightmare. sembl is an ML-powered, low-code platform which allows businesses to rapidly build internal business applications much faster and cheaper than traditional software development. We allow development teams to increase their output and business teams to create without engaging software development teams.

We are looking for someone to join the team as a technical co-founder with the idea that they would eventually grow into the CTO role. The ideal candidate will have proven technical design and architecture skills and excel in hands-on, front-end coding. As a co-founder you will have the ability to shape the architecture, product, and company strategy. The current team consists of a seasoned set of technologists, marketers, sales/business development folks - people who have brought products to market before and scaled companies from zero to millions of dollars in revenues. This is an opportunity for someone who is ambitious, passionate about delivering best in class products, and is looking for great experience with an early stage technology company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Making general technology decisions and strategic recommendations
• Building out a front end stack that can scale and be extended as the company grows
• Leading and mentoring other developers, building out a world-class technical team
• Ability to set standards and expectations for the technical team
• Work closely with design and product teams to deliver great products that customers love!

Technical Skills

• 5+ years experience building front-ends for large scale web systems
• Advanced hands on coding skills
• Strong knowledge of React and surrounding ecosystem: Redux, Thunks, Sagas, etc.
• Strong knowledge of web development tools and frameworks: HTML, CSS, SASS, LESS, Webpack, yarn, npm, TypeScript.
• Excellent software design fundamentals
• Experience building low-code and visual design tools is not a requirement but would be very helpful
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and uses is another huge plus.
• Proven track record of consistently shipping - products, features, releases.
