The Head of Commercial, South Korea is a critical commercial role for our Korean business, responsible for driving revenue growth in an important market by acquiring new mobile games to Mistplay’s industry-leading loyalty platform and managing a growing team of sales executives and account managers to nurture these relationships and meet our clients’ needs. . This role will report directly to our Global Head of Sales, and work closely with our VP of Global Markets. The Head of Commercial, South Korea will be responsible for overall revenue in Korea.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving the overall revenue targets for Korea
  • Own the commercial strategy for Korea, in close alignment with Mistplay’s broader Commercial strategy
  • Implement the commercial strategy in Korea Lead a team of sales and account managers (i.e. commercial team) in Korea
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals with the corresponding plans to achieve those goals and interim progress reports
  • Be responsible for the entire client lifecycle for Mistplay’s Korean clients; prospecting, pitching, closing, relationship and account management
  • Grow and manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Support client negotiations as needed
  • Get directly involved in resolving client issues
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Mistplay’s business with existing clients
  • Support Mistplay’s Korean business strategy by closing and retaining Korean clients whose games will be marketed to Mistplay users within and outside of Korea
  • Stay up to date on latest user acquisition trends in mobile gaming, shifts in market dynamics, and emerging platforms.
  • Distill best-in-class learnings and practices from the global organization
  • Advocate with Mistplay HQ on behalf of the needs and wants of Korean clients

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Native Fluency in both written and spoken Korean. Fluency in English is a must as well
  • 7+ year experience in sales, preferably in media or mobile gaming Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business administration or marketing focus
  • Existing relationships in the mobile gaming industry preferred
  • Experience with and an understanding of user acquisition and/or performance marketing
  • Previous management experience of a commercial team, ideally in an organization with an international headquarters
  • Proven track record closing deals and meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Ability to generate leads and build opportunity pipelines
  • Experience using Salesforce, Salesloft, or similar enablement tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & demonstrates strong cross-functional collaboration across business functions & regions;
  • Experience working with market research and other tools for prospecting
  • Self-sufficient high performer who enjoys contributing to the success of your team
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including international travel and working outside of Korean business hours to liaise with colleagues in North America
  • Be a natural leader with ability to mentor other team members
  • For internal use, this is an M3 level
