RTOWN, one of Canada’s leading full-service digital marketing agencies focused on serving growing mid-market firms across Canada, is seeking a Business Development Manager with proven experience selling digital marketing services.
Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for marketing and helping businesses grow? We’re looking for a Sales Manager to join our team - someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and closing deals that drive measurable growth for our agency and our clients.
About the Role
As our Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Generating and qualifying leads through outreach, networking, and strategic partnerships
- Pitching marketing services including digital advertising, branding, SEO, social media, content creation, and web development
- Managing the entire sales cycle - from prospecting to closing
- Collaborating with the marketing team to create tailored proposals and strategies for potential clients
- Tracking and reporting sales activities and progress
What We’re Looking For
- Strategic prospecting and account acquisition and hunting new logos
- Ability to adapt to rapid change, think critically, communicate effectively, and anticipate challenges to come for strategic accounts and advise the company on changes needed to meet the needs of our customers
- Strategic knowledge of the digital marketing stack without the need to be hands on in the various platforms (websites, e-commerce search, social media). That is, you can speak to the business case and value of these tools yet are not the “doer” of these functions. An expert in articulating value and how they help businesses succeed
- Proven experience in sales or business development (3+ years preferred)
- Experience in a marketing agency or digital marketing environment is an asset
- Strong understanding of marketing services, trends, and client needs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth
Compensation
This is a commission-based position with no base salary.
Compensation will be performance-based and TBD depending on experience and results. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow with a fast-moving marketing agency and be rewarded for performance.
