We are looking to add an experienced Intermediate Supply Planner to our Operations Team in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Manager, Production Control, and Logistics-Operations, the Intermediate Supply Planner is responsible for coordinating the planning of MineSense products and assisting the procurement team with materials and components. As a member of the Operations Team, contributes to the delivery of best-in-class product solutions that improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact across the mining value chain. An ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter who enjoys developing innovative solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Order and schedule the procurement of materials to ensure inventory levels are maintained, expediting orders when necessary.
  • Receiving and entering packages into our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Monitoring inventory levels and optimizing stock holding across different warehouses and locations.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and finished goods.
  • Planning and Logistics:
  • Track Supplier capacity and capabilities to mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations, propose and communicate recommendations, and track improvement.
  • Prepare shipments for local clients as required (packaging, crating, palletizing) and verify them against sales orders and shipping documentation (labeling, incoming, and outgoing parts).
  • Coordinate and arrange inbound and outbound freight for finished goods and other good movements.
  • Problem-solving to resolve day-to-day carrier, vendor, purchasing, and warehousing complications as applicable.
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Collaborating with domestic or overseas vendors to identify opportunities to reduce supply lead time and improve on-time shipments.
  • If required lead or participate in the resolution regarding product availability/loading, carrier, customs clearance, warehouses, and deliveries.
  • Actively contribute to operational and supply chain activities by the team (e.g team meetings, inventory reviews, etc)
  • Communicate status updates on the work in relation to deadlines and delivery requests.
  • Documenting and tracking service details and operational challenges.
  • Assist the Global Supply Chain Team during high periods of demand.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree: preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or other relevant fields; a diploma in Supply Chain Management is considered an asset but not required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in inventory planning and logistics for a product development company, working with quality control systems, procurement, shop orders, deviations, and other manufacturing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Flexibility to ensure results in the face of challenging scenarios and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and multitask management skills.
  • Experience working in Microsoft 365.
  • Health & Safety conscious individual.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity. Keeping this mind, the salary offered can be outside of the range posted. We are in growth mode and are looking for talented folks at all levels, so please do not hesitate to apply.
