Opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on Lead Principal Engineer to help drive delivery and execution on our No-Code Next Gen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior full stack engineer with strong project management instincts to lead delivery of user-facing features, collaborate with architects and Staff Engineers, and support our growing use of AI across the platform.
About Method
Method is on a mission to transform how small businesses operate by giving them real control over their customer workflows. Our flagship product, Method CRM is purpose-built for small businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets and generic tools. With deep QuickBooks integration and a powerful no-code customization engine, Method enables users to design workflows that truly fit their unique needs. As a scaling growth company, we’re now taking that mission further, leveraging AI to develop intelligent agents that assist users in rapidly building and customizing no-code apps. This innovation is at the heart of our next chapter, and we’re looking for people who are excited to build the future of work!
The Role
As a Lead Principal Developer on the No-Code team, you'll own sprint delivery for key frontend and backend systems that power our app builder, layout editor, and AI-driven tools. You’ll act as a force multiplier by balancing strong individual contributions with a focus on planning, communication, and technical guidance. You will play a critical role in the design and delivery of AI-enabled systems and experiences, working closely with Staff Engineers and Architects to ensure these tools are scalable, tested, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Plan, prioritize, and deliver high-impact product initiatives with clarity and accountability.
  • Technical Execution: Lead by example with clean, maintainable code across the full stack (C#, SQL, React, Python, etc).
  • AI-Enhanced Delivery: Design and implement intelligent tooling and co-pilot features in close partnership with Architects and Staff Engineers.
  • Team Mentorship: Guide and support mid- and junior-level developers through code reviews, planning sessions, and day-to-day unblockings.
  • Quality & Monitoring: Ensure features are testable, observable, and resilient in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Lead feature development from design to deployment across React, C#, SQL Server, Python, and AWS.
  • Design integrations with internal APIs and external services, including AI and machine learning providers.
  • Collaborate with QA on test coverage, pipelines, and release readiness.
  • Write and review code for maintainability, performance, and readability.
  • Drive architectural reviews and promote high-quality engineering practices.
What You Bring
Before you read this next section, we want you to know that we know the “ideal candidate” doesn’t exist — everybody has a unique background and skill set. Even if you don’t check every box below, we’d love for you to apply - we are building for the future and growth potential is a priority for us!
  • 6+ years of fullstack software development experience.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive features to completion in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in C#/.NET, React, SQL, Python, and cloud-based deployment (ideally AWS).
  • Strong understanding of system design, software delivery processes, Agile workflows, and release coordination.
  • Experience collaborating with architects or staff engineers on complex initiatives.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with AI agents, NoSQL, messaging systems (e.g., SQS, Kafka), or DevOps pipelines.
Must-Have Foundations
  • Strong fundamentals in system design, cloud-based architecture, and fullstack development.
  • Experience with production-grade deployments and CI/CD processes.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability best practices.
