Opportunity
Method CRM is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Sales team. As a BDR, you'll focus on reaching out to small and mid-sized businesses in industries such as accounting, wholesaling, manufacturing, and services that use QuickBooks. Your role will involve connecting with decision-makers to qualify leads, educate them on Method CRM's value proposition, and generate opportunities for deeper engagement.

Key Responsibilities (Day-to-Day):
High-Volume Outreach:
  • Proactively contact prospects via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, and SMS to spark interest in Method CRM.
  • Personalize outreach by leveraging curated lists from tools like Instantly, targeting businesses that align with Method's value offering (e.g., businesses with QuickBooks integrations or seeking workflow automation).
Lead Management and Qualification:
  • Prioritize and organize a dynamic lead pipeline using Salesforce (or a similar CRM) to ensure efficiency.
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their pain points in managing customer relationships, workflows, and QuickBooks integrations.
Value-Based Selling:
  • Highlight Method CRM's ability to automate manual workflows, improve efficiency, and integrate seamlessly with QuickBooks.
  • Leverage customer success stories to demonstrate real-world results.
Industry Insights:
  • Stay informed about competitive CRM solutions and the evolving needs of industries Method CRM serves (e.g., accounting, service industries).
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with sales leadership to refine strategies and improve customer interactions.
  • Participate in team meetings to share feedback and iterate on outreach techniques.

Must-Haves:
  • Experience in Sales or Customer-Facing Roles: This could include sales, customer success, call centers, or industries like accounting, services, or manufacturing.
  • Natural Relationship Builder: Comfortable engaging with decision-makers at various levels.
  • Resilience: Can handle rejection with positivity and adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to communicate Method's value effectively.
  • Passion for Growth: A drive for self-improvement, with a willingness to learn through training and coaching.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience in high-volume cold calling or lead generation.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or experience working in industries that use it.
  • Prior exposure to CRM systems or automation tools.
  • Bonus points if you are fluent in Spanish

Outbound Strategy Using Instantly:
1. List Curation:
  • Use Instantly to curate highly targeted lists from job postings, LinkedIn profiles, or industries that frequently use QuickBooks.
  • Look for businesses hiring for operations, accounting, or administrative roles—indicating they might benefit from streamlined workflows.
2. Multi-Touch Outreach Cadence:
  • Day 1: Send a personalized cold email introducing Method CRM, emphasizing its seamless QuickBooks integration and time-saving features.
  • Day 2: Follow up with a LinkedIn connection request with a short message.
  • Day 4: Make a call to discuss how Method CRM addresses specific challenges (e.g., manual data entry, poor QuickBooks syncing).
  • Day 6: Send an SMS summarizing your pitch and offering to schedule a quick demo.
3. Messaging Framework:
  • Pain Point Focused: "Many QuickBooks users face challenges with managing customer data and workflows. Here's how Method CRM makes it seamless."
  • Value Proposition: "Save 10+ hours a week and grow your revenue by centralizing your customer management and automating workflows."
  • Social Proof: "Thousands of businesses using QuickBooks trust Method CRM to streamline operations and drive growth."
4. Continuous Iteration:
  • Track outreach metrics (open rates, response rates, conversion rates).
  • Use insights to refine messaging, timing, and target audiences.

Hybrid Policy
At Method we are working on a hybrid schedule. Employees work from the office 2-3 times each week from our office in downtown Toronto.
In your first 30 days you will:
  • Complete Method’s Bootcamp, gaining foundational knowledge of our platform and workflows.
  • Understand Method’s values and how our teams collaborate to drive results.
  • Learn and become an expert in our internal communication tools, norms, and practices.
  • Get hands-on experience with Method CRM and Instantly, learning how to track leads, automate outreach, and manage follow-ups.
  • Shadow experienced BDRs and CSMs to understand prospecting best practices and successful meeting handoffs.
  • Begin crafting and testing personalized outreach messages for LinkedIn, email, and phone calls.
In your first 60 days you will:
  • Master Method CRM workflows, including lead management, activity tracking, and reporting.
  • Become proficient in Instantly for automated outreach and email sequencing.
  • Develop a structured LinkedIn outreach process for prospecting and engagement.
  • Learn and refine cold calling scripts and objection handling techniques.
  • Book your first set of meetings for Customer Success Managers (CSMs).
  • Participate in weekly coaching sessions and roleplays to sharpen your pitch.
  • Track and analyze your outreach performance to improve efficiency.
In your first 90 days you will:
  • Participate in your first quarterly review, discussing progress and areas for growth.
  • Consistently hit monthly outreach and meeting booking targets.
  • Develop deeper industry knowledge to refine messaging and conversations.
  • Build strong relationships with CSMs to better align booked meetings with customer needs.
  • Begin experimenting with multi-channel outreach strategies (email, LinkedIn, phone).
  • Contribute insights on prospecting challenges and suggest process improvements.
In your first year you will:
  • Participate in your first annual review, reflecting on performance and growth.
  • Establish yourself as a top-performing BDR, consistently exceeding quotas.
  • Deepen CRM automation and data insights skills to improve prospecting efficiency.
  • Mentor and support new BDR hires, sharing best practices.
  • Explore potential career growth within Method, whether in BDR leadership, sales, or customer success.
Compensation: $55,000-80,000+ annually. The base salary for this role is $50,000-60,000 per year. Additional uncapped performance based bonus is paid out monthly, post onboarding period.
