As the People Operations Coordinator (6 months contract), your strong organizational skills and passion for evolving processes will help us to build and ‘scale’ a world-class employee experience as the volume of our stores and employee base increases and expands into new geographies. You will also have the opportunity to answer compelling questions about our people by helping us continue to build out our strong data and systems foundation. What you'll do

  • Accurately maintain of People data and information in a variety of areas including:
    • HRIS and related systems such as ADP WorkForce Now, Lattice, and Storeforce
    • Workplace systems such as Notion and Slack
    • Benefits administration systems
    • Employee files
    • New areas as they evolve
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, departure, and employment changes to support the employee experience of all full-time, part-time, contract, and seasonal employees. This includes ongoing hiring, as well as New Store Opening events, with touchpoints in multiple systems and processes and with multiple people ensuring optimal experience of all touchpoints.
  • Maintain employee communications and informational materials as changes occur, such as updates to total rewards, programs, and processes in intranet (Notion), LMS, and Google Drive
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions on Slack, email, or in person
  • Participate in continuous improvement, including sharing suggestions, observations, and identifying opportunities to improve processes. This includes both shared processes, and your own methods of self-management
  • Prepare reports and statistics based on People data using Google Sheets and Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas)
  • Perform research into employment trends and legal requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review and engagement survey processes
  • Assist or prepare internal communications and correspondence as requested
  • Complete forms, verify documentation, and maintain digital files/ records
  • Manage employee filing system and compliance-related documentation
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with various members of the Talent Acquisition, People Partnership, Learning, IT, Operations, and other teams

What you'll bring to the table

  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
  • Exposure to HR systems or demonstrated experience learning new software or systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to handle large amounts of data
  • Strong critical thinking skills to navigate new situations
  • High degree of integrity and discretion to handle confidential employee information
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and often-evolving culture
  • Strong research foundations to identify reliable sources of information and source input
  • High level of curiosity and drive to resolve problems
