We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our finance team at Marble. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks as a core member of our Finance Team, playing a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You must also be comfortable working with accounting software and have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems, including invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate entries for both accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconciliation: Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements, accounts, and other financial records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition practices across Canadian and U.S. entities, adhering to relevant accounting standards
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow and working capital management across Canadian and U.S. accounts, ensuring liquidity and optimizing financial performance.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and record expenses, ensuring they align with budgets and company policies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports by gathering and organizing data as required.
  • Document Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and documents.
  • Payroll: Lead and oversee payroll processes using ADP in collaboration with the Human Resources team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Tax Returns: Manage, file, and track tax returns for both U.S. and Canadian operations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions in alignment with government requirements.
  • Year-end: Lead year-end closing activities, including account audits, reconciliations, and accounting adjustments to ensure the accuracy of the trial balance and readiness for external audits.
  • Support: Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed, including answering queries and assisting with audits.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and relevant laws

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • CPA designation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online)
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
