What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Project & Communications Manager who will scope, manage, and execute new initiatives & existing OKRs while scaling them across the entire company. Reporting directly to the COO, this role requires a highly organized, data-driven individual with a passion for e-commerce innovation. As a Project & Communications Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying opportunities, enhancing efficiencies, and driving impactful communication strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Plan, execute, and oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to align project objectives & deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to the leadership team.
  • Identify feedback and behavioural data from customers and content creators to develop new products that follow our brand mission and identity.
  • Discover system inefficiencies and turn them into opportunities for automation.

Communications Management

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to support project objectives and company goals.
  • Create and distribute engaging content for internal and external audiences, including presentations and project reports
  • Act as a liaison between teams to ensure consistent messaging and information flow.
  • Lead project planning meetings, retrospectives, and post-mortems
  • Address and resolve communication challenges promptly and professionally.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 3-5 years in project management and/or communications roles, preferably within the eCommerce or startup space.
  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies and tools (eg. Trello, HubSpot).
  • Proficiency in project management and analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a can-do mindset.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Resilient under pressure and committed to meeting deadlines.

Bonus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.
  • Previous experience in a startup or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Enthusiastic for eCommerce trends and consumer behaviour.
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges and learn new skills.
  • Certification in project management is highly desirable.

Salary Band: $90-115K CAD per annum. Individual salaries will be dependent on unique skills, experience and qualifications.
