Technical Lead, Engineering

Role Responsibilities:
- Set and communicate a compelling multi-year technical vision that aligns with organizational goals and supports the health of the teams in partnership with the Director, Engineering.
- Act as a multiplier by mentoring individual contributors and collaborating with managers to foster leadership and technical growth.
- Provide constructive technical feedback to Director, Engineering on team and individual performance.
- Drive development efficiency with the support of AI tooling and data to make recommendations.
- Participate actively in code and architecture reviews, promoting robust and sustainable patterns.
- Guide team in making effective trade-offs between user experience, business priorities, and technical sustainability.
- Support Product Managers with technical input for roadmap development, anticipating technical challenges.
- Communicate technical vision through visuals, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- Liaise with stakeholders across engineering and product to align on deliverables.
- Work with other Technical Leads and Engineering members to align on architecture vision to make sure we’re solving the right pieces of the overall puzzle.
- Travel: 5-10%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), with a track record of improving scalability, performance, monitoring and cost-efficiency.
- Proficiency in several of C# / ASP.Net Core, Python, PowerShell, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Open Telemetry, SQL, ElasticSearch, DevOps practices including infrastructure as code, SRE, and CI/CD.
- Demonstrable depth and breadth of expertise across multiple domains (e.g. systems design, networking, distributed systems, cloud-scale development and operations, architecture, performance-optimized algorithms).
- Enthusiasm for using Agentic AI in software development and hands-on familiarity integrating AI tools into production workflows, to drive development and accelerate our experimentation with LLMs and multi-context frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex AI concepts into business and product strategies.
- Proven ability to establish credibility with all levels, with technical and non-technical audiences, and to influence teams to support change management initiatives.
- Strong aptitude for learning and teaching others about new technologies.
Nice To Have:
- Experience in delivering compelling technical narratives and plans to an executive audience
- Deep understanding of AI systems including:
- LLM architectures, token generation, and token/context management.
- Multi-modal and multi-context processing (MCP) frameworks.
