- Drive schematic capture and direct PCB layout strategy for complex digital, mixed-signal, and power systems.
- Own bring-up and electrical validation across functional domains (digital logic, power, sensors, interfaces).
- Collaborate across firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver tightly integrated, production-ready systems.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions on design and field issues.
- Guide component selection, BOM optimization, and sourcing strategy in partnership with supply chain.
- Author and enforce electrical design standards, review practices, and documentation templates.
- Mentor Junior Engineers and review design work across the team.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and shipping embedded electronic products.
- Deep knowledge of board-level digital design, signal integrity, power systems, and interface protocols (High speed signals like USB 3.0, PCIe, gig Ethernet, or similar preferred).
- Proficient in schematic and layout tools (we use KiCad), and confident driving designs through layout, fab, assembly, and test.
- Extensive experience in board bring-up, lab debugging, and design verification.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux SoCs, DDR layout, and compliance/EMC considerations.
- Comfortable leading cross-functional design reviews and collaborating with remote teams.
- Excellent written communication skills; experience authoring specs, design docs, and test plans.
Nice To Haves:
- Prior work with high-speed interfaces (USB 3.x, Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe, etc.).
- Experience with secure hardware design, anti-tamper features, and hardware root of trust.
- Familiarity with FPGAs, especially Xilinx Zynq/ZynqMP platforms.
- Exposure to compliance testing (EMI/ESD/thermal), including pre-cert practices.
- Embedded firmware development in C or scripting (Python) for test/validation automation.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you.
