- Develop production quality FPGA components and software libraries for embedded systems;
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux systems (kernel, drivers, bootloader)
- Analyze and debug complex systems hardware with SoCs and FPGAs;
- Perform hardware bring-up, inspection, error analysis and troubleshooting;
- Contribute to various automated hardware-based test setups;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with FPGA development and related testing methodologies (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog and Amaranth HDL);
- 5+ years of experience with embedded Linux development, plus related testing methodologies (C, C++, Rust, Python);
- Solid understanding of USB and typical embedded digital communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, SWD, JTAG, etc.);
- Hands-on experience with modern lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic and spectrum analyzer);
- Solid working Linux knowledge and scripting skills (Bash, Python);
- Basic understanding of version control systems (Git);
- Strong organizational, verbal, written and visual communication skills;
- Growth mindset and a deadline-respectful get-it-done attitude;
- Ability to work responsibly and independently under minimal supervision.
- Travel: 5%.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with SoC bus interconnect specifications (AXI, AMBA, Wishbone, etc.);
- In-depth knowledge of high-speed digital interface PHY layer protocol specifications;
- Experience with secure system design, especially with regard to physical device security and tamper detection
- RF and inductive communications design background is also desirable.

Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
- MIN: $128,800 - MID: $161,000 - MAX: $193,200 USD
