Your Role
We are looking for an HR Co-op to join our growing team! This position will provide HR administrative support to our overall HR team, including Business Partners, HR Programs, and Recruitment. You will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and carrying out human resource department projects and processes for Magnet Forensics.
What You Will Accomplish
-Work closely with the HR team in maintaining global HR administration including but not limited to HR filing, employment verification letters, employee survey, training set-up, and supporting HR primes on internal committees.
-Set up candidate interviews, process criminal background checks, and conduct reference check calls.
-Support the “change of life” reward program at Magnet, ensuring employees are rewarded during life changes.
-Provide facilities support to our office, including internal event organization and maintaining internal supplies (Ex: food and office supplies).
-Other ad hoc duties as assigned by HR.
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.
There are a couple must haves, but we will keep that list short:
- You are a student working towards a degree or diploma in Human Resources
- Have excellent organizational skills in order to manage issues, projects and deadlines
- Have outstanding communications skills, both written and oral
- Attention to detail and a focus on data integrity
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrate expert proficiency with MS Windows/MS Office Applications
