Who Are We?

Machobear Studios is an established tech start-up based in Vancouver. We are the creators of liv.rent, an all-in-one platform that connects tenants with landlords. In addition to developing and maintaining our platform, we work on a variety of exciting projects for our clients within the real estate and food industries, providing innovative tech and marketing solutions that meet their unique needs.

We’re looking for a versatile Graphic Designer join our dynamic design team on a 6-month contract. In this role, you’ll coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to bring creative designs to life!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design graphic elements for a variety of formats, including digital, mobile, and print
  • Support branding initiatives and campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Create visual content for our product blog (www.liv.rent/blog) and client blogs
  • Design assets for web and offline use, including online banners, display ads, product landing pages, billboards, and signage
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external clients to define project scope and objectives
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and industry best practices
  • Explore and incorporate AI tools to enhance and streamline design workflows
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring Us

  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles and typography
  • Proficiency with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • An understanding of the design process from concept development, storyboarding, to project completion
  • Ability to adapt to different branding guidelines
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of design principles and a knack for incorporating design thinking and user experience considerations
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Illustration experience is an asset
