Machobear Studios is an established tech start-up based in Vancouver. We are the creators of liv.rent, an all-in-one platform that connects tenants with landlords. In addition to developing and maintaining our platform, we work on a variety of exciting projects for our clients within the real estate and food industries, providing innovative tech solutions that meet their unique needs.
We are looking for an experienced Ethnic Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team to manage and grow our Chinese marketing accounts. This role requires a proactive and seasoned marketer who can not only execute but also strategize.
What You’ll Be doing
- Develop, manage, and execute campaigns on WeChat and Little Red Book (RED)
- Create engaging and effective WeChat articles, with a focus on impactful headlines and a platform-specific perspective
- Create and optimize RED posts with SEO tags to maximize visibility and engagement
- Management of WeChat and RED accounts; community engagement through comments
- Take ownership of Chinese marketing initiatives and guide future team development
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, to align on goals and strategies
- Act as the point person for directing and organizing campaigns
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as impressions, views, engagement rates and follower growth
- Identify gaps and implement proactive solutions to improve performance
- Work with influencers and media contacts within the Chinese marketing sphere
What You Bring Us
- Minimum 5+ years in Chinese marketing, preferably with experience managing brand campaigns on RED
- Proven experience managing multiple accounts and campaigns
- Strong knowledge of WeChat and Little Red Book (RED) platforms
- SEO experience, particularly for RED and broader search engines, is an asset
- Bilingual in Chinese and English, with excellent communication skills
- Existing relationships with Chinese media, influencers, and creators are a strong advantage
