Description
Surprise, surprise, this role focuses heavily on copywriting. Each week, numerous supplier profiles, product descriptions, emails, website pages, and miscellaneous internal requests need to be written in both French and English. As the French writer, you’ll be asked to tackle these tasks alongside your copywriting counterpart with proficient speed to meet quick turn around deadlines without compromising the quality of your work. The ideal candidate for this role loves the written word and will adopt the Lufa Farms voice to communicate in a creative and compelling way.
Responsibilities
•
Write any of the following: supplier descriptions, transactional emails, newsletters, copy for website pages, and more;
•
Examine copy consistently throughout a project to ensure it is cohesive;
•
Regularly attend and participate fully in briefs, debriefs, and other marketing team meetings;
•
Help mediate the Lufavore community by replying to Marketplace product comments;
•
Support internal copywriting services to other departments.
Requirements
•
Don’t just write copy. Tell our story, well;
•
Take ownership and instill excellence (and quality!) into each task;
•
Ensure all copy is complaint with our style guide (voice, tone, SEO guidelines);
•
Gatekeepers of our content across the board: no errors (spelling, grammar);
•
Balance between perfectionism and speed based on the impact and audience size;
•
Comfortable working with tight deadlines (often <1 day turnaround);
•
Stay adaptable to feedback and edits;
•
Strong attention to detail. There is an intentional typo in this job description - include the corrected sentence at the bottom left corner of your CV.
Assets
•
Bachelor of Arts in French, Communications or Translation;
•
Bilingual (French and English);
•
Experience as a Reporter, Staff Writer, or Copywriter for an e-Commerce company;
•
Genuine interest in Lufa Farms, our mission, and business model.
Schedule
•
40 hours/week. Schedule is typically 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, from Monday to Friday.
