With exciting new projects on the horizon and a motivated team, we’re looking for someone thrilled by the idea of building the best online Marketplace out there to become our Senior Merchandizing Manager.
The Senior Merchandizing Manager is someone who can define projects for the Purchasing team and complete them based on the KPI objectives outlined in the company’s budget. Our ideal candidate would work closely with our software development team as well as the Director of Purchasing to achieve these objectives. They’ll streamline department processes and procedures to improve team efficiency with automation. They report to our co-founder, and would be responsible for our online Marketplace merchandizing to ensure that our unique products are highlighted appropriately to maximize sales.
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing various projects for the purchasing team from A to Z;
Determine project pipeline and seasonal purchasing priorities that work to achieve the budget objectives;
Improve and document processes and policies in support of organizational goals and in the interest of building a scalable team structure;
Automate tasks for the department by collaborating with software development for continuous improvement of the department’s tools;
Challenge the team on the samples, gifts, promotions, and new arrivals to make sure the highest standards, mass appeal, and maximum take rate for each week are achieved;
Create guidelines for and regularly audit product presentations on the Marketplace;
Fill in for the Director of Purchasing as needed.
Requirements
Organized, meticulous, methodical (aka you like to-do lists, calendars, and spreadsheets as much as we do);
Resourceful with a strong ability to gather, sort, and act on information;
Online merchandising experience;
Project management experience;
Experience managing a department and team;
Ability to write a requirement document for software development or experience using automation.
Assets
Food industry experience;
Software development experience.
Schedule
Full-time (Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm), with time outside regular business hours when needed.
Compensation & benefits:
Salary to be determined based on experience and knowledge of the candidate;
