THE ROLE
Hybrid – Etobicoke, ON | Minimum 2 days in-office
Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive accounting professional who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
As a Corporate Accountant, you will support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple legal entities and currencies. You will work closely with members of the Finance team to help ensure accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and timely period-end closings. This is a hands-on role that provides exposure to audits and cross-functional initiatives, making it well suited for someone looking to further develop their technical accounting skills and grow within a fast-paced fintech environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Support full-cycle accounting activities for assigned entities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and assist in investigating discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and Cash-in-Transit (CIT) partners
- Review, monitor, and help report on high-volume crypto and cash transactions using internal systems and tools
- Manage Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and responding to vendor inquiries
- Process banking, crypto, and other financial transactions for review and approval by senior finance team members
- Maintain accurate general ledger records by preparing reconciliations and ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is in place
- Prepare schedules, working papers, and basic analysis to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, audits, and special projects
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures to help ensure deadlines and accuracy requirements are met
- Apply established accounting policies related to revenue, cost of sales, inventory, fixed assets, loans, and other key areas under ASPE and IFRS, escalating issues as needed
- Support compliance with local, provincial, and federal reporting, licensing, and tax requirements under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist during external and statutory audits by gathering documentation and responding to audit requests
- Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and ad-hoc analysis as the business continues to grow

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills, including – VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Background in fintech, tech, or high-growth startup environments
- Hands-on experience with cryptocurrency transactions or digital assets
- Experience with multi-currency accounting
- Google Workspace proficiency
