As a Service Technician you will be responsible for performing a variety of activities designed to service, repair and maintain Lion Electric vehicles.

As part of your daily work, you would have to:

• Performs maintenance and repair procedures on various Lion Electric vehicles in accordance with Lion manufacturing standards and procedures ;

• Follow all safety policies and procedures ;

• Complete Lion online and in class training ;

• Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments on such things as fluid levels, hoses, brakes, tires and electrical components ;

• Diagnose, service and repair various systems that are found on Lion Electric vehicles :

- Cooling system

- Drive-train components

- Electrical systems (Low and High voltage)

- High voltage batteries

- HVAC systems

- Steering and suspension system

- Software updates and diagnostics.

• Support customers and their technicians with repairs ;

• Provide feedback to engineering department on product concerns and issues.

You have what it takes?

• 5+ years experience as a Journeyman (Red Seal) Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Electric Vehicle Mechanic ; CVIP Inspector License an asset.

• Experience with software diagnosing and testing; comprehension of electric schematics and troubleshoot fault codes;

• Understanding of Electric Vehicles (EV) or Hybrid systems and technology;

• Excellent communication and customer service skills ;

• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions ;

• Must have minimum class 5 with air brake endorsement and ability to obtain a class 1 license ;

• Ability to travel 50%(or more) inter-provincially ;

• Bilingualism is an asset.

Exposure to open shop environment of humidity, heat, cold, and wet conditions. Exposed to all highway hazards during road testing of vehicles or deliveries.

Work environment requires the continuous operation of hand and power tools and the full range of shop equipment. Repetitive operation of mechanical or electronic office or shop machines or tools within high tolerances or limits of accuracy.

Requires medium to heavy work that involves walking or standing most of the time.
